Gamecocks NFL Pro Day Recap

As mentioned the other day by LOHD, Columbia, SC was the site of a NFL Pro Timing Day that involved several gamecocks.

Garrett Anderson, Moe Brown, Clifton Geathers, Lemuel Jeanpierre, Eric Norwood, Gerrod Sinclair, Marvin Sapp and Darian Stewart participated in the “showcase” on Wednesday.  This was another effort to state their case on why they should be “hired” by a NFL team.

Twenty-eight of the NFL’s 32 teams had a representative to watch seven seniors and one underclassman perform a series of on-the-field drills like the 40-yard dash, the three-cone drill and the shuttle run, as well as position drills. They were also measured for weight and height before being measured in broad jump, vertical jump and bench press in the weight room.

The NFL draft’s first round is scheduled for April 22 at 7:30 p.m. in New York.  Rounds 2-3 are the following day while the last four rounds will be April 24.
