Who runs a 10.42 100-meters, a 21.90 200-meters, a 47.88 400-meter time, a 55-meter race in 6.39 seconds and is considering running track for Coach Curtis Frye’s Gamecocks. That would be four-star New Jersey wide receiver Damiere Byrd and he choose USC over Iowa, Ole Miss and Florida.
His letter-of-intent finally got to USC as he is in Japan for a all-star track meet. Byrd is the speed guy USC needs. He could be in the mix for playing time early at Carolina and could be a factor in the return game.
