If I was Connor Shaw, Gamecocks projected starting quarterback in 2012, I would be nervous about my spot with Tanner McEvoy coming in. Give McEvoy time to learn to be a SEC quarterback under the coaching of Spurrier and G.A. Magnus and he could be the real deal.
Tanner will redshirt in the 2011 season but should be given a chance for 2012. Not saying he will unseat Shaw but he will certainly give him a run for his money.
Just check out this video of Tanner McEvoy in action and tell me I am wrong about thinking he could be a really good quarterback for USC…
