The Gamecocks football team landed one of Georgia’s top defensive ends as Jhaustin Thomas gave his pledge to be a member of the South Carolina football team.
As we wrote earlier, this was expected as he was a Gamecock lean. Thomas is a 6-foot-6, 240-pounder from DeKalb’s Columbia High School who was also hearing from Auburn, Tennessee, Florida, Georgia Tech and Alabama.
Thomas is a speedy defensive end that should fit in nicely on the defensive line. He also is a good basketball player and hopefully Coach Horn will give him a look as the USC basketball team could use a tall, big guy underneath.
