The South Carolina Gamecocks have been ranked 12th in the USA Today coaches preseason poll released today.
The Gamecocks are the highest-rated team in the SEC East in the poll.
SEC Noteables in the poll include: Alabama at No. 2, LSU at No. 4, Arkansas at No. 14, Auburn at No. 19, Mississippi State at No. 20, Georgia at No. 22 and Florida at No. 23.
The Gamecocks are scheduled to clash with five ranked teams according to the preseason poll – Arkansas, Auburn, Mississippi State, Georgia and Florida.
