The University of South Carolina has won the NCAA National Championship in Baseball!
Game 2 of the CWS had all the elements of a special game from a great show of pitching from both UCLA and USC to extra innings baseball. The Gamecocks won the game by the score of 2-1 in bottom of 11th, thanks to Wingo for scoring the winning run and Whit for the hit.
Hats off to UCLA as they gave it their all but seems the baseball gods would not let the gamecocks magical run die. You may recall the gamecocks were one out away from being sent home from the CWS against OU.
Congrats to Coach Tanner and his staff, the team, the University and the fans.
