The South Carolina Baseball team shifted a bit in the latest college baseball polls and let’s be honest with ourselves – it is to be expected after dropping their first SEC series since 2009 to a lesser opponent.
Collegiate Baseball has the Gamecocks ranked in 7th place, Baseball America has the gamecocks ranked in 8th place, Rivals puts the SC Gamecocks in at 9th, and USA Today / ESPN puts USC just outside the top 10 at number 12. And for those who don’t go by rankings and puts more weight in the RPI, while Boyd’s World’s RPI has the ‘Yardcocks at 19th.
Glad to see the ‘Cocks still ranked high despite a sorry series loss to UK. Lots of baseball still to be played as two crucial series are approaching with Arkansas and Florida. SEC glory is within reach, just finish strong.
