Here’s this week’s Mumme Poll Ballot. As you may recall the Mumme Poll works by having each voter select the Top ten teams. The ten are in no particular order with one exception. The exception is to designate a number one team, so there can be a tiebreaker for ranking purposes. Auburn is still my number one team. In alphabetical order, here is how I voted this week as well as who just missed out.
Top Ten
Alabama
Crimson Tide was idle this week. They still appear to be one of the best teams in the country.
Auburn
Tigers demolish Ole Miss. Add a touchdown reception to Cam Newton Heisman resume.
Boise State
Broncos beat hapless Louisiana Tech. These guys could run through the rest of their schedule, and we still won’t know how good they are/aren’t. If they get left out of the national championship game, they should blame whoever selected this out of conference schedule.
Iowa
Hawkeyes don’t have any bad losses on their resume. Michigan State win carries them into Top 10 for the time being.
Oklahoma
Sooners get back on track with a pasting of Colorado. They should cruise for a couple of weeks.
Oregon
Ducks plaster Trojans by 21. They have now won all of their games by 10+ points.
Stanford
The Cardinal blanks the Huskies 41-0. They have an interesting match up with Arizona this weekend.
TCU
Baylor win looks better this week. Otherwise this resume is uninspiring. Let’s see what happens against Utah.
Utah
Apparently, we’re supposed to put undefeated teams in the Top 10 regardless of their schedule. Utah-TCU loser will be out of my Top 10 next week.
Wisconsin
Badgers took the weekend off. I hear Halloween in Madison is big.
