Draft Predictions for Gamecocks Entering NFL in 2011

The South Carolina Gamecocks have seven former football players taking part in the NFL Draft Combine this time around and each have a legit shot at making a career in the NFL.

Let’s remind you which seven we are talking about and offer a draft prediction:

So what are their chances of getting their named called you ask?  Well, at this point it is anybody’s guess as currently the seven listed above can state their case to scouts at the Combine by having a good showing.  All it takes is impressing one scout for one team.

One name not listed is Pat DiMarco as he stands a outside shot at getting his name called if he can get around to making it for workout sessions for NFL teams leading up to the draft.

Here is the un-offical prediction for these guys in our view with some help from CBSsports –

Chisolm, Ladi, DiMarco and King will likely be a free agent pickup.  King may be picked up late in the draft due to his size and abilites but I feel FA is his destinity.  Culliver will go in the 6th or 7th round.  Gurley will go in the 6th or 7th round.  He may get a little higher if he can impress at the Combine due to his size at WR. Cliff Matthews and Weslye Saunders will go as early as round 4 and surely by the end of the 6th.  One of these two will get their names called first from the Gamecock stable.  (Well scratch that as Saunders is out due to a foot issue.  Weslye will get a FA look.)
