The South Carolina Gamecocks lost today to the Mississippi State Bulldogs by the score of 60-58 and will be the number six seed out of the SEC East in the upcoming SEC Tournament. Their opponent will be the Ole Miss Rebels, who beat Arkansas 84-74, and clinched the number three seed from the SEC West.
A few weeks back, the Gamecocks beat Ole Miss when they played them last on Feb. 22nd by the score of 79-73. South Carolina leads the all-time series 14-13 between the two schools.
South Carolina is 94-113 overall in games played in the month of March. In those games, 16-19 (.457) in SEC Tournament games.
The game between West No. 3 seed Ole Miss and East No. 6 seed South Carolina will be at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday in the first round of the SEC Tourney in Atlanta.
