Help Support Former Gameock Baseball Player Tim Bright

As many of you know by now this is a Gamecock Sports Blog that is not short of opinions or thoughts on the team we love.  We also love the fans and former players, really anyone that bleeds the “garnet and black” like the three of us here at Leftover Hot Dog.  Point of this post is to ask for you to pause for a moment and make one of two choices today.

We ask you either to support former Gamecocks baseball player Tim Bright by praying for him as he is battling cancer currently after being diagnosed with stage three colon cancer at the ripe old age of 29 and just three months before he was married last April.  Tim is a Gamecock and pitched at SC 2001-2003 before arm injury cut his tenure short.  He graduated in December 2005.

If a prayer is not for you or if you want to support his fight in another way, then support BrightLife.  This is an organization founded by friends to raise money to aid Tim on this journey and help educate others about colon cancer.  The organization is conducting a golf tournament on April 4th.  Golf not for you then make a donation to the cause as every penny counts.

Tim is a fighter and his battle needs your help.  He has beat cancer once and he will do it again.  See, after surgery to remove over a foot of his colon, he learned in November 2010 the cancer was back and that it had metastasized to his lungs.  To follow his journey check out -> http://storyoftim.blogspot.com .  I will not try to frame this fight as everyone has been touched by cancer in their lives but this one hits home for us in a way.  Pause today and help via a prayer or by visiting www.brightlifesc.com to make a donation, purchase a bracelet or sign up to play golf.

Please share this story and help Mr. Bright and his family conquer this latest trial in their life.
