South Carolina football is less than fifty days away. There will be an increase in football related stories as the kickoff draws closer. There are so many stories to be told about this team. One angle is the leadership on this team.
An example is running back Marcus Lattimore and USC football chaplain Adrian Despres not being afraid to share their relationship with God. No matter how you feel about there being a higher being at play in this thing we call life is not the point of this post. It is about a young man stepping up and telling others his belief. Many of you know doing such takes leadership. Without a doubt Lattimore is a special player and this upcoming event may be of interest….
These two men will be the featured speakers at REAL Men, REAL Talk “A Night of Worship, Testimony and Invitation” at First Baptist Church of Columbia on July 28 at 6 p.m.
Many of you know who Lattimore is but you may not know Adrian Despres. He played football at Furman University in Greenville, S.C. After attending Columbia International University’s seminary, he now serves as Chaplain for USC’s football team.
The event is presented by REAL Men’s Discipleship Ministry of First Baptist Church and will feature other players’ testimonies as well. Doors will open at 5 p.m. for men ages 7 and up.
