Congrats to former South Carolina football player Captain Munnerlyn as he has been awarded the Tom Berry Good Guy award, the Professional Football Writers Association of America announced Thursday.
The award is designed to honor the player who is most helpful to the media in doing its job. Eh?
You read that right as this award is named after Tom Berry, who passed away in 2009 and is given to a NFL player that is always willing to help the media fill its gaps in their stories.
This, I hope, is viewed as honor by Mr. Munnerlyn and we are happy for him as he works to finish his third year with the Carolina Panthers out on a high note.
