South Carolina Baseball: Ray Tanner Gets No. 700

The University of South Carolina is blessed to have Ray Tanner in the dugout and coaching the baseball team. He is a gem of a coach and has done so much for the school, on and off the diamond.

Yesterday, his Gamecocks squad defeated Princeton by the score of 6-1 and by getting the win it gave Coach Tanner his 700th win as the USC coach.

Tanner has been coaching collegiate baseball for 25 years and 15 of those have been at in Columbia. At South Carolina, Tanner owns a 700-297 record.

Let’s hope he sticks around for another 700 wins as the school should do all they can to keep him happy.
