With few exceptions you have to run the ball to be successful in the SEC. South Carolina’s recent success on the ground is due to the running back corps and Marcus Lattimore, but Connor Shaw is a factor both by threatening to pass and running, but none of that would be possible had USC not recruited the o-line well. That recruitment includes the luring of Shawn Elliott to Columbia to coach the offensive line.
