Last week, the media picked the South Carolina Gamecocks to finish second in the SEC East and fourth in the SEC during the 2012 SEC Media Days. Do you agree with that?
The media members gave the Gamecocks 72 first-place votes while Georgia was picked to finish first with 132 first-place votes in the SEC East.
If you look at just one of the sportsbook review type websites then you will see that most feel that USC will land in the Top 3 of the SEC East. The key is the difference in schedules as we mentioned before. USC can overcome it as key games on their journey for glory will be Georgia, LSU, Arkansas and Florida. Get passed those four games with at least two wins then the Gamecocks will have a valid chance to go to the SEC Championship.
