Auburn football tickets up 19% with South Carolina coming to town

The Auburn Tigers (5-1) who rank No. 5 in the most recent AP Poll, will look to bounce back at home against the South Carolina Gamecocks (4-3). Auburn had two weeks to stew over their tough 38-23 road loss to the top ranked Mississippi State Bulldogs. Auburn’s dual-threat quarterback, Nick Marshall threw for 209 yards and two touchdowns while adding another 100 yards rushing. Marshall threw two key interceptions, including a late fourth quarter interception that ended Auburn’s comeback attempt. Auburn was unable to stop Mississippi State quarterback Dak Prescott. Prescott threw for 246 yards and one touchdown, but added 126 rushing yards and two touchdowns. Fans must pay a premium if they want to watch Auburn bounce back against South Carolina.

According to TiqIQ, the average secondary market price for South Carolina vs. Auburn football tickets is currently $165.68 on the secondary market while the get-in price for the game is $75. Current ticket prices exceed season averages which indicate a higher demand for this game, 19% above the average for remaining home games on the Auburn football schedule.

After winning two of its first three SEC contests, South Carolina has dropped two straight SEC games. Last week, South Carolina earned a 41-10 non-conference victory over Furman, but faces daunting task by playing at Auburn. Quarterback Dylan Thompson has been erratic, but threw for 262 yards and two touchdowns against Furman. Running back Mike Davis, who is one of the best running backs in college football, rumbled for 111 yards and two touchdowns against Furman.

On top of above average secondary market ticket prices, South Carolina and Auburn will square off for the first time since 2011. Auburn has won seven straight games against South Carolina.  Look for South Carolina to establish the run with Mike Davis while Auburn will look to make a statement after its loss to Mississippi State.
