Here’s what the Giants Thought of Odell Beckham Jr.
Former Giants safety Landon Collins is now a member of the Redskins, and it didn’t take him long to air some dirty laundry involving his former team.
Collins remained quiet about the Odell Beckham Jr. situation when he was rocking the Big Blue uniform, but he’s already sharing what he believe really happened behind closed doors.
He relayed his thoughts in an interview with NJ.com, and opened up about exactly what happened — indicating that the Giants players loved OBJ, but the front office felt like he was an issue from the getgo.
“Was I shocked with Odell?” Collins said, via NJ.com. “No, honestly, not. They felt like he was a problem the whole time. Ever since Odell stepped into the league with them, they felt like he was a problem, I felt like from the outside.”
“We loved him,” Collins said of his teammates. “Odell is my brother. He is not that kind of guy, or what people think he is about or what the organization did. I don’t know why.”
Interesting. That does make the chain of events make more sense, so we tend to believe what Collins is selling.
Dwayne Haskins Shows off his Incredible Arm Strength
Dwayne Haskins is already showing why he’s worthy of the first-round draft pick the Redskins used on him.
Haskins is more of a pocket passer, and his mobility issues raised eyebrows from other teams, especially ones looking to run dynamic, innovative offenses with run-pass options built into the playbook.
But let’s be honest, Haskins has a strong arm, and he can make all the throws. This was recently exemplified at Redskins minicamp, when he uncorked a beautiful back-shoulder throw for a TD. Check out the air yards on this deep pass.

The accuracy on that throw was a thing of beauty. Good start for the rookie.
Adam Gase Denies a Rift with Miami’s GM
Jets head coach Adam Gase is already having issues getting adjusted to the New York media, and the 2019 season isn’t even close to beginning yet.
Gase is a guy who speaks his mind, and he also doesn’t hold back when he feels a certain way, which doesn’t usually end well in the New York market. Reporters are already playing right into that, circulating a report about Gase having issues getting along with general manager Mike Maccagnan.
“I don’t know who decides to put that stuff out there,” Gase said, according to NFL.com. “It kind of pisses me off a little bit. We have discussions on everything. That’s our job. We have to work through so much stuff. That’s what we have to do. That’s all we’ve done since we’ve been here.”
He continued:
“Since we started, we’ve been in constant communication whether he’s coming down to my office or I’m going to his office, that’s all we’re trying to do is make sure we’re on the same page all the time. We’re trying to put this thing together as well as we can in a short period of time.”
If this pissed him off, Gase is gonna have a long next few years in the Big Apple, because it’s going to get a lot more difficult.
OBJ Clarifies his Statement that the Browns are the “New Patriots”
The Browns are experiencing a major culture shift, which was apparent from the team’s body language and play on the field last season. And the team’s biggest offseason acquisition is already buying into what they’re selling.
Odell Beckhham Jr. recently made headlines when he came out and said the Browns could become the “new Patriots,” so now he’s felt compelled to explain exactly what he meant by that. OBJ took to Instagram to explain these comments.
“Just to clarify, I will always aspire to be great. I haven’t reached that point in the NFL but that’s what we all chase and I’m going to continue to work to help the Browns become great.”
He continued:
“Never meant the Browns are the new Patriots or going to be the new Patriots. I just have great respect for what they’ve done but definitely recognize the work that has to be done to get there.”

Beckham knows that it’s not wise to poke the bear known as the Patriots, so he made sure to backtrack a bit. Smart.
