Lamar picks USF over USC; 6 enroll early

No surprise here. After USC landed Jarvis Giles, I think most would assume that Lamar would not follow. I mean you will have 3 in the mix in 09 – Baker, Maddox and Giles. Ben Axon will get a redshirt. So again this is not a big issue….but what I do think is a great […]

USC Basketball loses out on 7 footer

After starting SEC play with a 68-56 win vs. Auburn yesterday it seems Horn has the gamecocks off to a good start post-Odom. But all of this did not sway 7-0 center Beas Hamga from choosing to continue his college basketball career at Valparaiso University in Indiana. Beas made his decision yesterday. Hate to lose […]

Why doesn’t USC go after Edwards?

Now Virginia Tech has received a decommitment from Tyrell Edwards of Marlboro County (Bennettsville, S.C.); should USC step in and go after him? Edwards was recruited by the Hokies as a linebacker/tight end and a probable greyshirt. He was not happy about greyshirting and is now considering North Carolina State, Vanderbilt, Illinois, along with the […]

Swearinger had been favoring the Gamecocks since de-committing from Tennessee following Phillip Fulmer’s resignation. Thanks Vol nation! You know the Clemson firing and UT firing […]

Clemson’s loss; USC’s gain

Seems the departure of Tommy Bowden is having its’ ripple effects on the recruiting trial and honestly that is the gamble you take when you cut loose your head coach at the mid-point of the season. So this was to be expected, just like this was too (then this too) in the aftermath of firing […]
