Alabama’s JaMychal Green suspended from USC Game

Advantage South Carolina with news today that JaMychal Green is suspended for the game on Wednesday night in Columbia, South Carolina.

The sophomore forward JaMychal Green has been suspended for a violation of team rules and there is no timetable for his return.

Green’s suspension comes just days after junior guard Senario Hillman was suspended before Saturday’s home game against Ole Miss. That decision was related to a basketball issue, coach Anthony Grant has stated.  There was no word Tuesday if Hillman will play against South Carolina.

Green, a 6-foot-9 former McDonald’s All-American, has started all 28 games this season for Alabama (14-14, 4-10 in the Southeastern Conference).  He ranks second on the team in scoring with 14.8 points per game and leads the Crimson Tide with 7.2 rebounds per game.

This gives the USC Gamecocks a huge boost and a serious chance to end their current 5 game losing streak.
