Cory Boyd breaks through in Canada

Maple leaves, over polite people, cold weather, round ham called bacon and Cory Boyd can all be found in a land called Canada.  While many of use are preparing for the Gamecocks season to start on September 2 or the NFL season to start a week or so later, the Canadian football league has been going strong for a while now.

Cory Boyd has become a super star in his rookie season for the Toronto Argonauts.  Through the first 8 games of the season, Boyd leads the CFL in rushing with 792 yards.  He has also had four 100 yard rushing games this season.  He was also named CFL offensive player of the week after the 6th week of the season.  Boyd was a hard nosed runner at Carolina from 2003-2007, where he became only the second South Carolina player ever to gain 1000 yards both rushing and receiving in a career.

Cory we wish you the best of luck in Canada, and we hope one day you get another chance to play in the NFL.
