South Carolina’s off the field distractions seem to make more news then the play of the team on the Field.  This week has been dominated by health of Gamecock super star Jadeveon Clowney.  Whether or not Clowney plays isn’t the Gamecocks biggest concern as 2nd half turnovers and defensive intensity has plagued the Gamecocks all season.  It is never easy to go on the road in the SEC, and USC has three straight road games that could determine if 2013 is a successful season.

Players to Watch for the Hogs:

So QB:Brandon  Allen  834 Passing Yards 8 TD’s

Fr RB: Alex Collins 651 Yds 3 Td’s

Fr. TE:  Hunter Henry  14 Rec, 276 Yds 1td

What might happen:  First year coach Brett Bilema will run the ball on Saturday to keep the Gamecock offense off the field.  The Gamecocks defense better be ready to play as there are many factors going against them.  USC hasn’t played well in early games, or in Arkansas.  USC is 2-8 in 10 games played in Arkansas.

Look for USC to continue to move the ball in many different ways.  Mike Davis will get his carries and Shaw will impress once again.  Look for Bruce Ellington and Damiere Byrd to be Shaw’s top targets.

If Clowney does play, look for him to have an average game, but look for big games out of Vic Hampton and JT Surratt.

Prediction:  USC 27 Arkansas 17
