The nation’s No. 1 high school recruit coming out of South Pointe high school – Jadeveon Clowney – has reportedly met the NCAA’s academic guidelines for admission to THE University of South Carolina. He is on track to enroll and be on campus next month to begin classes and participate in team workouts.
Clowney still must be cleared by the NCAA Clearinghouse and officially admitted into USC but neither of these issues should hinder him from being a Gamecock this coming season now that he has the qualifying scores/grades.
Everyone can now stop worrying or asking about Clowney, unless you are the opposing offensive coach or quarterback this fall.
Surely this news makes Ellis Johnson and Steve Spurrier a little happier today. Now comes the task of teaching this kid, with so much talent, how to be even better…scary thought.
This week the odds of USC winning the SEC East had to increase with news of Clowney and Garcia.
