The University of South Carolina announced that the football team’s 2011 season opener against East Carolina will be televised nationally by FOX Sports Net (FSN).
South Carolina will play the Pirates at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, N.C. on September 3. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. EDT.
The teams haven’t met since 1999 – a game East Carolina won 21-3. South Carolina holds a 10-5 advantage all-time against East Carolina, dating back to a series-opening 19-16 win in 1977.
Also South Carolina’s game against The Citadel will take place at 12:00 pm and be televised on pay-per-view basis. This game is scheduled for the date of 11/19/2011.
