Today, August 26, 2011, is the 1000th day since Clemson last beat South Carolina in football. It has been 24,000 hours of bragging rights. There have been 1,440,000 minutes of having the trump card in any argument with any Clemson fan about anything. Like many of you, I have enjoyed every one of the 86,400,000 seconds.
Unfortunately, many of the fans of the school in Pickens County are not very good at math and many of them probably don’t have today circled on their calendars. If you see one today, it might be nice to remind them that it has been 1,000 days. You’d hate for them to miss it.
