Well, it seems the nation’s top recruit had a interesting evening in Columbia, SC last night. Jadeveon Clowney and Gerald Dixon, due to no classes at South Pointe High due to a furlough on Friday, took a trip to Columbia’s bar scene. By the look and sound of it, boy do they have a story to tell.
My mother told me that nothing good happens in Five Points after midnight and maybe she was on to something…
For the record, Clowney was NOT arrested. That is him between Salty Nut and Pavlov’s in the 2 a.m. hour getting a up-close personal visit with Columbia PD. Seems he fit the description of someone the police was looking for but it was not Clowney. He was released. Some people were arrested during the incident because they threw objects at police while they attempted to search Clowney.
I am not going to cast the first stone as I do not know all the details and those are suppose to come out later today. However, this was not a smart move on his part even though he was not arrested and was doing nothing wrong. Perception can be a cruel thing. He needs to stay home, lay low and work on his grades. Five Points will be there in the summer and no reason to pay Five Points a visit until after high school. Clowney, is a star, so you know with the way technology is today that news like this or whatever he does is going to surface (see Garcia in Atlanta). He should not give reasons for the media and the general public to cast doubt on him as a person.
Speaking of technology, here is a example of it at work….Clowney, same night, in 5 points….

I hope Mr. Clowney and the rest of his future teammates can learn from this.
