Alabama Gets Revenge in Game 2 Against the Gamecocks

Game 2 goes to the Crimson Tide, as all they needed was a five run second inning to hold off the South Carolina Gamecocks today in Game 2 of the three game weekend series.  Final score – ‘Bama 6 ‘Cocks 4.

Gamecocks starting pitcher Sam Dyson (4-3) pitched well over seven innings with 10 k’s yet the damage was done.  No comeback today like last night.

Of note in this game was the home run that Christian Walker smashed as it landed in Irmo.  It was a shot folks and the metal “ping” was heard in five points.

The loss snaps the Gamecocks five game winning streak and moves them to 33-9, 15-5 in SEC play.   SC needs to re-group and win the ‘rubber’ match on Sunday with the first pitch at 1:30pm.
