Steaks and Baseball, we must be headed to Omaha

When you think of college baseball, you think of Omaha, Nebraska, Rosenblatt Stadium and the NCAA College World Series.  As most of you already know, this will be the last year Johnny Rosenblatt Stadium will be the host stadium of the CWS.  Here are a few facts about Johnny Rosenblatt Stadium….
  • Rosenblatt stadium is the largest minor league baseball stadium in the US.
  • Built in 1947 and originally called Omaha Municipal Stadium, and is older then any MLB stadium other then Fenway and Wrigley.
  • Rosenblatt has hosted the CWS since 1950
  • The record for most consecutive sellouts at Rosenblatt stands at 82 consecutive games
  • Johnny Rosenblatt Stadium is one of the few stadiums that still uses live music instead of prerecorded music.
  • Each team will be given a bucket of dirt from the field, as each player can have a souvenir of the final series at Rosenblatt.

We will miss Rosenblatt Stadium as Carolina has made there mark on Omaha and the College World Series.  One of the few teams to have a winning record (17-16) in the CWS, but no national championship.  Maybe our luck will change this year?
