The South Carolina football rivalry with the Clemson Tigers just got even more interesting. Nothing like fuel for the fire.
Dabo Swinney was asked about comments Steve Spurrier supposedly made after the beating his squad handed to the Tigers for the third year in a row.
Here is a video of Swinney’s rebuttal. It gets interesting around the 2:10 mark as the first part is him talking about the VT Hokies which we hope issues Clemson another loss but that is beside the point:
Keep in mind that Spurrier didn’t say “We may not be Alabama or LSU, but we sure ain’t Clemson folks.” That comment was made by Todd Ellis.
Safe to assume all his comments will be material used by all of USC sports teams when facing Clemson.
