Gamecock Football Recruiting: J.P Vonashek Commits to USC

Offensive line J.P. Vonashek committed to the South Carolina Gamecocks on Saturday afternoon. He is a nice addition to the football team.

Vonashek is a 6’7″, 275-pound offensive lineman from Brunswick, Georgia. Both Scout and 247sports have him as a three-star recruit. 247sports has him linsted as the No. 69 recruit in Georgia and is the No. 64 Offensive Tackle in the nation.

This lineman chose USC over offers fromt he likes of: Ohio State, Georgia, Florida State, Auburn and Tennessee.

The thing about his is has a big frame that will allow him to grow. Expect a redshirt but expect to hear a lot about this kid down the road. Coach Shawn Elliott will mold him into a great player.

This is the 16th commitment for the Gamecocks in the 2013 recruiting class and the third offensive lineman. Vonashek joins the Dillon (S.C.) duo of four-star center Bryce King and four-star offensive tackle D.J. Park.

Here is a good read on the newest Gamecock from the AJC – HERE. Welcome to Gamecock Nation Mr. Vonashek.
