The South Carolina Gamecocks landed a solid commitment from Kight Dallas from Arabia Mountain High School in Lithonia, Ga., who was labeled by the AJC as one of the top linebacking prospects out of the Atlanta area.
The 6-foot-2, 220-pounder received his first offer from the Gamecocks not too long ago and decided to end the process early by indicating that he wants to wear the garnet and black as a collegiate football player.
Dallas currently is a two-star prospect with an overall grade of 76 according to 247Sports. At USC, he will play linebacker.
South Carolina was the first school to offer Dallas, who has also received interest from such schools as Auburn, Ole Miss, Vanderbilt, Clemson, Georgia Tech and Wake Forest.
Seems the football recruiting at USC is picking up steam as the Gamecocks are likely to bring in 18-20 commitments in this cycle.
