Call it a good weekend for the South Carolina football program as they got a verbal pledge from defensive tackle Taylor Stallworth (Mobile, Ala./Murphy) to join the Gamecocks 2014 recruiting class.
Stallworth is the 11th commitment for USC's 2014 class and he picked the Gamecocks over offers from the likes of Arkansas, Georgia Tech, Ole Miss, and Tennessee. This was a good pick-up for USC as it adds to the defensive line, especially at DT, where it is good to have a depth of talent.
He is a three-star prospect and rated as the No. 62 defensive tackle in the country by 247Sports. Here is video of the newest Gamecock:
