S/LB Jordan Montgomery kept his word after saying as soon as he gets on campus at South Carolina, he would give his verbal pledge to sign to play football for the Gamecocks. Today after meeting with Coach Steve Spurrier, Jordan Montgomery (6-1 198) of Groveland, FL held firm and said he would sign with USC.
Jordan is being recruited to play the spur position at USC. Rivals rates him as a 3 star recruit and the 43rd best outside linebacker in the nation. Last season, he had 86 tackles with 2 sacks and an interception.
He also had offers from Arkansas, Iowa State, Maryland, Ole Miss, Central Florida and Western Kentucky.
He’s a solid pick up for USC and he is the Gamecocks 13th commitment for the 2011 class.
