Well if you like daytime soap opera’s then you will be a huge fan of new Auburn commit Eric Mack. I am not sure what all happened in the last 24-48 hours but Calhoun County offensive lineman Eric Mack went from being a verbal commit to the Gamecocks (then shunning USC) to giving his heart to the Auburn Tigers.
There are plenty of rumors flying around the messages boards as well as newspaper websites that South Carolina as well as Florida pulled there scholarship offers from Mack as of Tuesday due to poor attitude. Many have said Mr. Mack acted very immature and unprofessional this weekend while visiting USC. He was also unhappy that USC wanted him to shut down his recruiting process showing he is “all in,” as he had planned to visit Auburn this weekend with his good friend Shamir Jeffery.
Personally, I don’t think Mack was every really fully committed to the Gamecocks, he listed Auburn has his favorite last summer and again had Auburn on his mind when he almost de-committed from USC back in the late fall.
The big question is going to be how this affects other recruits that USC is still pursuing (if any), I guess we will have to wait and see how the next two weeks play out. So stay tuned…
