From the day he signed with the South Carolina Gamecocks, there has been questions surrounding if he was going to qualify. Now word has trickled out that Kelcy failed to make a necessary 840 on the SAT and it may jeopardize his enrollment this fall.
We here hope he gets the academic requirements in order as he is loaded with talent. In his senior season at Greenwood High (SC), The 6-foot-3, 267-pound Quarles finished with 77 tackles, nine sacks, 17.5 tackles for loss and two blocked kicks.
The Parade All-American will learn his fate later this summer and there are two options on how this plays out – enroll in USC in 2010 or go to JUCO/prep school thus delaying enrollment at USC until 2011. I hope for the first option as he will be a stud at DL for Carolina.
