Despite your thoughts on the South Carolina men’s basketball program and coach Darrin Horn, the Gamecocks are still recruiting.
The Gamecocks are fresh off a regular season finish that yielded them a record of 10-20, 2-14 in the Southeastern Conference. They joined the SEC in 1991-92 and had never finished worse than 3-13. So it is bad currently yet most fingers point to Horn keeping his job for one more year at least so it is good to see recruiting picking up. Can only go up as a program….
Here is the latest we could gather on the basketball recruiting front…
Sheldon Jeter
USC is in the mix for the services of Sheldon Jeter out of Beaver Falls, PA. Jeter has also taken official visits to USC and Penn State. He will go to Kansas State this coming weekend and to Seton Hall after his season. Jeter does not have a favorite and won’t make a decision until after his season. He is averaging 21 points and 14 rebounds per game this season. The 6’7″ recruit is a two star by most recruiting sites.

Thaddeus Hall
USC is one of the latest offers for shooting guard Thaddeus Hall (6-3 170) of Brooklyn, NY. He has reportedly has offers from USC, St. Johns, Texas Tech, Maryland and Virginia Tech according to his coach. The talented Hall missed a chunk of the early season because of a back injury and academic issues. Hall had averaged 17.3 points and 6.7 boards during the regular season. The catch with him is he has until June to qualify academically for a Division I school.
