Zlatan: One Of The Greatest Footballers Ever

Out of all the unimportant things, football is the most important. – This quote by Pope John Paul II gives a perfect definition about football. Through the years it has bonded people and although it has brought joy or tears to many, people love this game because it makes them forget about their everyday problems for 90 minutes.

Pele, Maradona, Platini, Baggio are just several of the players who are going to be remembered as the football’s finest. Today, there is a famous rivalry between Messi and Ronaldo, as millions of people argue who is the better player.

But one thing for sure, we cannot continue the list without mentioning Zlatan Ibrahimović, or as he likes to call himself – The God.

According to Betfy.co.uk, Zlatan started playing football at the age of six when he received a pair of football boots, and he played for local teams Malmo BI and FBK Balkan. People recognized his talent and soon he was a regular for his hometown club Malmo FF. These are just the beginnings of his illustrious career, as in the following years he played in several of the biggest clubs in Europe.

Besides being recognized as one of the greatest football players ever, Ibrahimović is also known for his humor. “Arsѐne Wenger asked me to have a trial with Arsenal when I was 17. I turned it down. Zlatan doesn’t do auditions” – Ibrahimović on turning down Arsenal.

Ibrahimović is definitely one of the greatest footballers ever, and he has truly left a mark on this beautiful game which is loved by millions around the world.
