Clowney Comin' Jadeveon Clowney practiced Wednesday night and Thursday night. Apparently those practices went well, and all the rehab Clowney has been doing have gone well. Clowney will definitely make the trip, and Coach Spurrier said there's a good chance he can play. Obviously this is good news for the Carolina defense. Kelsey Quarles and […]

Unconfirmed reports are beginning to circulate that Clowney went to sleep sometime last night and awoke Wednesday morning. Those reports, that we should stress have not been confirmed by Clowney or anyone in the athletic department, are very sketchy in details about what position Clowney slept in. It's been suggested that he used a regular […]

Steve Spurrier held his weekly press conference this afternoon and addressed the Clowney situation. Apparently Clowney has a strained muscle in or around his ribs. Apparently, it's still a real injury, so Clowney is responding by seeking treatment from the medical staff twice a day. Spurrier said the announcement of the injury wasn't handled well […]

South Carolina takes on their second BCS out of conference foe this weekend. The Gamecocks travel to Orlando to face Central Florida. After a high profile, Thursday night opener against North Carolina and a Top 15 match up with Georgia, a game against an AAC opponent isn’t going to draw much national interest. The game […]

Well, that was painful. For the last half decade South Carolina has garnered success on the football field by fielding a stout defense and a competent offense. That went out the window Saturday night. A Georgia offensive line that was abysmal last week played like road graders this week. When Todd Gurley wasn't running through […]

Greg Poole from Bulldawg Illustrated invited me to chat about last week's action and this week's Georgia game. We talked about what was up with Clowney, which coordinators have a more favorable match-up and more. Here's the video, and if you're looking for some information on the Bulldogs, check out Greg's site here.

Steve Spurrier may go down as the greatest coach in SEC history. Certainly there will be other contenders, and many fan bases will have opinions. If Spurrier is the greatest, it is not only because of his Fun ‘n’ Gun that defined the 1990s; it is also his adaptation, especially at South Carolina. The 1990s […]
