South Carolina Football: Angelo Watley Dismissed from Team

The South Carolina football team will be without middle linebacker Angelo Watley as he has been dismissed from the team.

If you recall, the young man was arrested on recently on three charges. At that time, per University policy, Watley was suspended from all football-related activities. Now according to the reporting of a local news outlet and confirmed by TheBigSpur.com, Watley has been dismissed from school.

Watley signed with USC in 2011 and redshirted last season. He was not suppose to be a big factor this Spring but it seems he is now.  But for the wrong reason.

These are pretty serious charges facing this young man and hopefully a lesson is learned and he can be a better person in the future. Bad part is this is not his first run-in with the Police.  He was arrested on July 3, 2011 in Gwinnett County and charged with six counts of terroristic threats and acts.

Good luck to Mr. Watley in the future and glad to see the school take a hard-line on nonsense like this.
